Here is my attempt at writing a Ghazal poem.
I hope you enjoy!
Pick up your phone; I need to hear your voice tonight.
My ears feel hollow without it, but do you still care?
Listening for the lullaby of your shallow breaths,
Before I sleep. If it’s gone forever – I will care.
You spew lies out of kindness – all for me, pretending
To be good, to love. Why? Feeding me poison pill care.
“Don’t worry, she is nothing. Just a friend,” you reply.
You changed your mind – but it’s not a lie? So you kill care.
Red-hot tears, streaming down my face like rivers on fire.
Shattering is a side effect; prescribe refill care.
You cast me out of your heart
Like an empty can
In the sunny days, I was your hat
Don’t worry as for moving on, I can!

Sincerely I must say, Your words carry the emotions, and that is what is needed. Nice poem.
